Flu cases appear to be on the rise in Georgia. The CDC reported there were 46 metro area hospitalizations across the Peach State for the week ending December 14th, which is up from 14 the week before. Georgia and 13-other states have flu activity level that's considered to be high to extremely high.
Georgia is expected to receive crucial disaster relief as part of a short-term spending bill that will prevent the government from shutting down. The state will receive 700-million-dollars for families and farmers who are struggling from the effects of Hurricane Helene and other storms.
