Student cellphones might be banned in K-12 schools in Virginia. The Department of Education has a draft policy recommendation schools could use to ban cellphones or other personal communication devices at school. Richmond parent Matt Lano tells CBS-6 he's good with that.....Preview: Students would have to store their devices in locked pouches or in a location off the student's person. Gov. Youngkin wants all school districts to adopt a no cellphone policy.

Virginia is launching a statewide push to help prison and jail inmates return to society. It’s called “Stand Tall, Stand Proud, Succeed Together.” Gov. Youngkin says it’ll bring together state and local government with nonprofits and private companies. He says the key is helping inmates find jobs, safe housing, health care, and substance abuse help.
