Richmond is promising details soon on plans to update its water system. A January 6th blizzard killed power to the city's water treatment plant. Mayor Danny Avula saying Friday a new 132 million gallon facility would cost too much.....Preview: Snow caused flooding that shut down computers that control the water plant. The crisis affected about 230,000 in Richmond and 4 counties with no-or-low water pressure. It triggered a 5-day boil water advisory until January 11th.

5 Virginia school districts are under investigation by the U.S. Department of Education for gender discrimination. The department claims the Virginia districts provide more rights to students with a gender identity different than their birth identity than to students retaining their birth identity.

The William and Mary law school makes a big mistake - sending false acceptance notices to 410 law school applicants. Some on the wait list; some not yet processed; and some set to be denied. The school caught the mistake minutes later and emailed applicants quickly to apologize.
