A Virginia elementary school teacher - accused of assaulting 2 students sexually. Fairfax Co. Police are charging 47 yr old John Barger for assaulting 2 students at Fairview Elementary in Fairfax Station. These 2 parents tell News-4.....Preview: No word on when the assaults happened at the school about 22 miles from Washington. Barger faces up to 20 yrs in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 if convicted.

Beefed up security at 2 southwest Virginia schools. They have a new weapon detection system at Pulaski Co. Middle and High Schools. A district spokesman says tablets scan bags and pockets and set off an alarm for certain objects. It’s a response to threats that closed schools last year.

Henrico Co. Police are investigating their 1st homicide of 2025. Officers responding to a reported medical emergency Tuesday finding 39 yr old Michael Young. EMT’s pronounced him dead at the scene. No word on what killed him or suspects.
