A Friday morning explosion at a Yorktown Coast Guard training center injures 2 people aboard a vessel. They were doing routine maintenance - one suffered minor injuries and EMTS took the other to a Norfolk hospital. No I-D on the victims or word on what kind of maintenance. Cause for the explosion remains under investigation.

Virginia's 1st solar panel manufacturer will soon bring new jobs to Forest (near Lynchburg.) Carlos Class is the CEO of Solarix and tells ABC-13 the $63 million project will create 104 new jobs.....Preview: Class says they plan to start setting up manufacturing equipment in the next 90 days and hope to have the plant up and running by the end of next year.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg will require guests under 16 to have a chaperone for the park’s Howl-O-Scream events after 4pm. Chaperones must be at least 21, be with the teenagers at the entrance, and remain in the park. The park says chaperones must also be available for contact by phone. Guests 16 and up must have a valid government I-D.
