New information about a Thursday afternoon fire rescue in Petersburg. Firefighters pulling an elderly woman completely engulfed in flames. Batallion Chief A-G Ross tells CBS-6 firefighters went through a back window.....Preview: The elderly woman remains in the hospital in critical condition. The fire displaces 2 adults and 3 children and the cause was electrical. The Red Cross is helping the victims.

The Peninsula’s water service provider is working to remove forever chemicals but the cost is not clear. The region’s provider is Newport News Waterworks and federal regs restrict the amount of chemicals in drinking water. The Waterworks will have to make big changes to its system and the cost could trickle down to its 410,000 consumers.
