The latest illegal drug getting popular in Virginia is "pink cocaine." Pink and sometimes smelling like strawberries but often with no cocaine. Gabriella Smith with Lynchburg's Horizon Behavior Health tells ABC-13 it can be laced with fentanyl.....Preview: It's a cocktail of drugs that can include ketamine, MDMA, and meth. Possible results are hallucination and speeding up the nervous system enough to cause a heart attack. Young people find it attractive.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports a candidate for the Richmond School Board has racked up 3 court convictions since 2009. The paper discovered records showing Kevin Starlings announced his candidacy about a month after finishing 3 months of home incarceration for writing bad checks. He’s also been convicted twice for embezzlement.

Henrico Co. Police are looking for 3 people connected to a fraud and theft ring targeting Home Depot locations. Police identify 2 of them as 24 yr old Ricardo “Bella” Moreno and 35 yr old Jatwan Redmond. The suspects ask a stranger to rent a piece of heavy machinery and don’t return.
