A drag queen is part of the U.S. Senate race in Virginia. Incumbent Republican Tim Kaine debated Democrat Hung Cao Wednesday on News-10. Navy vet Hung Cao used a DEI question to bash the Navy for using a drag queen to boost recruitment.....Preview: Studio audience reaction was immediate and audible. And the LGBT Life Center in Norfolk is calling Hung Cao's comment a frontal assault. Sen. Tim Kaine says he's not sure what point Hung Cao's trying to make about DEI.

Virginia’s ABC board does not expect any growth in revenue from the state liquor monopoly this year and only 1% growth next year. Then just 1.7% growth in fiscal 2026. The growth projections out Thursday are much less than Gov. Youngkin’s. Youngkin’s assume a 5% growth yearly and so does the budget ABC OK’d 14 months ago.
