The listeria outbreak tied to tainted Boar’s Head deli meat made in Virginia is finally over, but not before 10 people died and dozens more got sick in 19 states. The illnesses cropped up between May and mid-September. The CDC considers such outbreaks over 60 days after the last reported illness. Boar’s Head shut down its plant in Jarratt VA.

Virginia Medicaid spending on new weight loss drugs is up 300%. A new state review finds the cost climbed to $267.8 million for the fiscal year that ended June 30th.
