Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares orders VCU and UVA to stop doing medical care related to gender transition for children under 19. His Thursday letter is to comply with an executive order by Pres. Trump. VCU says it’s stopped the procedures. The letter orders both schools to stop “chemical and surgical mutilation of children.”

VCU names a veteran officer as its new police chief. New Chief Clarence Hunter Jr has previous experience as an officer for Richmond, Henrico Co. and Virginia Union University. He replaces John Venuti - Venuti remains at VCU as Associate Vice President for Public Safety. Hunter has nearly 30 yrs police experience.
