Violent crime is down in Virginia and the Governor credits Operation Ceasefire. 116 fewer murders this year and Attorney General Jason Miyares says 77 result from Operation Ceasefire. Gov. Youngkin celebrating the success Thursday.....Preview: He says Ceasefire cities account for over 40% of the crime reduction in Virginia and over 66% of the reduction in murders. It also boasts a conviction rate of nearly 100%. The 13 Ceasefire cities range from Roanoake to Richmond to Norfolk.

A jail near Richmond faces allegations it posed a female detainee for a mugshot before rendering 1st aid. Detainee Neicole Lewis died in Hopewell’s Riverside Regional Jail September 17th. Lewis’ mugshot shows a gloved hand looking like it’s holding her head for the picture.

A former state registrar is suing Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and some staff over allegedly false claims accusing her of election interference. Michele White was Prince William Co. Registrar in 2020. It shorted Joe Biden 1,648 votes and over-counted Donald Trump’s by 2,327 votes.
