Fairfax Circuit Court Judge Dontaé Bugg rejecting a prior ruling that such fertilized eggs could be considered divisible “goods or chattel” based on 19th century slave law. The ruling earlier this month dismisses a woman’s petition against her ex-husband.

A bill on the governor’s desk would boost college opportunities for prison inmates. The bill would establish a partnership between the Virginia community college system and the department of corrections, Virginia Works, and the Virginia Information Technology Agency.
