A northern Virginia school system is fighting chronic absenteeism 1 phone call at a time. Absenteeism spiked to 24% at one point this semester at North Stafford Co. High School. A Chesapeake hospital is contacting patients about a health safety problem. Chesapeake Regional announcing Thursday a former nurse treated patients using reused needleless syringes while administering I-V medications. The hospital has no information on individual patients and is reaching out in an abundance of caution.
