(Tysons Corner VA) - It's prison for a Virginia officer convicted of killing a shoplifting suspect. Former Fairfax Co. Officer Wesley Shiflett sentenced Friday for shooting 37 yr old Timothy Johnson in 2023. Johnson's mother Melissa Johnson saying Friday.....Preview: The judge sentenced Wesley Shiflett to 3 in prison for handling a gun recklessly. Johnson was unarmed at a Tysons Corners Mall but Shiflett says he thought he was reaching for a gun. The jury acquitted Shiflett of involuntary manslaughter.
