(wrap) - It's because the Board of Supervisors voted "no" Tuesday on raising taxes. It considered a 1¢ hike in the personal property tax rate from 65¢ to 66¢ for 2024. Supervisor Ernie Reed with the reason.....

Public comment at the meeting supported Rutherford's view and the Board voted 3-2 to reject the 1¢ tax hike. It would have generated about $300,000 a year. I'm Charley O'Brian.
