Governor Youngkin order both U.S. flags and Virginia flags to be flown at half-staff at all local, state and federal buildings. In a statement, Youngkin said he wants to "remember the heroes who scarified their lives for the rescue mission and in defense of the American principles of freedom, justice and individual liberty." He also encouraged all Virginians to display the American flag today. Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset.
