Officials plan to add cameras, powered by enhanced AI technology, will detect violations and provide video evidence to the police for review. The initiative aims to enhance school bus safety and hold violators accountable for their actions. The program follows a trial that revealed about 13,000 violations per week in the Virginia Beach school division. Officials tell WAVY that the school district that its important of obeying the law to stop for a school bus with flashing red lights and a stop sign out.
