Arlington County Manager Mark Schwartz unveilng a nearly $1.7 billion draft fiscal 2026 budget that includes no tax-rate increase for property owners but proposes increases in the meals tax and charges for some county services. The budget aims to balance core needs, address concerns about tax burdens, and plan for uncertainty in federal spending and the economy. ARL Now Newspaper reports Board members are expected to advertise changes to tax rates and fees, with the budget set to be adopted in early April.
