Richmond continues to provide safe and clean water. That's what city officials said yesterday in an update on the water treatment plant. The city says it has three main finish water pumps and two auxiliary pumps running. One main finish pump failed Tuesday night. Combined, the pumps are producing 68 million gallons of water a day.
Democrats in the Virginia House of Delegates are moving forward with measures that could eventually change the state's constitution. The House passed a resolution yesterday that would protect the right to an abortion in a 51-49 party-line vote. The chamber also passed resolutions to change the process of restoring voting rights to convicted felons and protect marriage equality. The resolutions are not subject to a veto by the governor.
