A preliminary report is released on the fatal plane crash of aerobatic pilot Rob Holland. A NTSB spokesperson says a loose counterweight plug may be what caused the plane to lose control. It had "porpoised" while landing before crashing. The accident happened last Thursday at Langley Air Force Base.
Three Corrections Officers are recovering after allegedly being stabbed by gang members in Wise County. Authorities from the corrections department say the "premeditated stabbing" happened Friday at Wallens Ridge State Prison. The six inmates involved five members of the MS-13 gang and one from the Sureño 13 gang.
A serious bacterial infection is spreading rapidly across Virginia. The health department is reporting more than double the amount of cases of the Invasive Group A streptococcus compared to 2022.
