The Virgina Nurse, Erin Strotman, accused of abusing a newborn at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, now faces six new felony charges, including two counts of malicious wounding and four counts of child abuse. The charges stem from offenses that allegedly occurred in October and November. WTVR reports that Strotman was previously arrested in January and granted bond in February. Prosecutors assert that video evidence shows Strotman abusing an infant at the hospital.
Police say a Portsmouth man was arrested and charged for pulling a gun on a student walking home from the bus stop in Suffolk. The incident happening on Feb. 28th. Authorities say the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Devontae Woodley, attempted to fight the victim before waving a weapon. WAVY reports that Woodley was arrested on March 8th and charged with multiple offenses.
