State law enforcement agencies are reminding drivers to buckle up or face the consequences. Those agencies will join forces for the annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign starting Monday. Police can issue tickets if anyone under 16-years-old is unrestrained in a vehicle, or if a driver or passenger is not wearing a seat belt when pulled over for another violation. The campaign will last through June 1st.
The CEO of the Port of Virginia is expressing confidence, despite uncertainty over the effect that tariffs will have on international shipping. Stephen Edwards addressed those effects yesterday during his State of the Port address in Virginia Beach. Edwards says Virginia has a better mix of import partners than some West Coast ports, putting it in a better position to manage a drop in shipments from China.
