(Spotsylvania, VA) -- No injuries have been reported after a gun fired inside a student's backpack at an elementary school in Virginia. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: The Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office says no students or staff were injured when a handgun discharged inside a class at Lee Hill Elementary in Fredericksburg. The discharge happened just before 11 a.m. yesterday inside a third grade student's backpack. The student's teacher rushed the students out of the class and into the cafeteria while they contacted authorities. The school then went on a hold to assess the threat. Spotslyvania police and the school distric say they're still working to figure out why the child had a gun in his backpack. I'm RR.
