Governor Glenn Youngkin signed new legislation with Christy King being a vocal supporter. Her 18 year old son, Christopher, died in a crash in James City County on July 4th of 2020. She previously shared with WAVY what its like to live without him.Preview: She spoke publically in February and said that three others in that vehicle survived because they were wearing their seatbelt, unlike her son. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data shows Virginia is the worst state in the country when it comes to seat belt usage. The new law goes into effect on July 1st.
