According to a new study by the Suzuki Law Firm analyzing the D-O-T's data, only 82% of Virginia roads are acceptable quality. The number was derived from how generally smooth the roads are. Virginia came in 22nd in the nation for overall road conditions. More than 3,000 miles of the Old Dominion's roads are unacceptable quality and that could be leading you to costly repairs. Driving on such roads can lead to damaging vehicles, and increase the chances of an accident for cyclists and drivers alike. The states with the best road conditions are Alabama, Indiana, Wyoming, Kansas, and Idaho.
