The 2017 Congressional Baseball Game shooting was carried out by James Hodgkinson, a left-wing activist with a record of domestic violence, according to the Los Angeles Times. Several reports say he targeted Republican lawmakers which resulted in severe injuries to Representative Steve Scalise and four others. The Red State reports the heroics of Capitol and Alexandria Police prevented further casualties. FBI Director Kash Patel posted to X the news about the documents in a move towards transparency in the investigation, with House Intelligence Committee Republicans applauding the efforts. Questions remain about the handling of the case, with many calling for a shift in the DOJ's culture to better serve the American people.
