The Virginia Farm Bureau says cattle farmers in the state are seeing low profit margins. They cite higher costs for feed and fuel, and other issues like low numbers of slaughter and processing facilities. Virginia Representative Morgan Griffith says southwest Virginia is in need for at least three more slaughter facilities.
