The city announced yesterday it has started construction on two new quick build bike lane projects. The goal is to expand the city's multimodal network. The city says the projects also reflect its commitment to speed management and road safety for all users. Work is taking place on Holly Springs Ave from Broad Rock Road to Hopkins Road. It should be done, weather permitting, by this winter. Work is also taking place in the Carver neighborhood on Leigh Street from Myers Street to North Allen Ave. That project is set to finish by winter 2025.
