(Williamsburg, VA) -- A mysterious black ring has appeared in the skies above one Hampton Roads city.Preview: Residents in Williamsburg first reported seeing the ring shortly after eleven a.m. Tuesday. According to WAVY News 10, they started getting several calls about the strange ring, while others said the ring appeared and disappeared within 10 minutes. WAVY also reported one reason could be caused by a fire or some other type of explosion. But the James County Fire Chief said no fires had been reported in Williamsburg around the time the ring appeared. Meteorologists say the ring could be a by-product of pyrotechnics or a smoke ring from a plume of smoke from an industrial process or explosion.
