Governor Glenn Youngkin's office says more than 41-million dollars in grants from the state's Telecommunications Initiative will fund ten broadband construction projects. The money will help underserved communities in 20 Virginia localities, including Spotsylvania, Alleghany, and Botetourt [[BOT-a-tot]]. The applications were selected by the Department of Housing and Community Development based on infrastructure needs. The upcoming projects are expected to provide internet access for more than 18-thousand homes and businesses.
