(Amelia, VA) -- A Virginia family is calling for stricter anti-bullying laws after a child's death in Amelia County. Richard Stelling with more.Preview: Voicer Script:
The family of 17-year-old John Tyrcha says their son took his own life last week due to relentless bullying at Amelia County High School. About a dozen parents protested outside the school yesterday, demanding more accountability from the school district. The district superintendent says counselors will be at the school to offer support this week. A special school board meeting will be held at the high school next week to address bullying and other parent concerns.
