Roanoke County Public Schools wants to hire ten or more drivers to join their team as soon as possible. Due to the shortage of drivers, the school district is offering hiring and referral bonuses, competitive pay, and assistance in obtaining a commercial driver's license. RCPS Superintendent Dr. Ken Nicely tells WDBJ the job can be rewarding and is ideal for retirees or those seeking part-time work. Drivers will work five hours a day and can apply through the school district's website.
