The Norfolk City Council is hoping to breathe new life into a more than 80-year-old downtown property. Officials unanimously approved the sale of the former Greyhound bus station last week. The vote also included seven additional parcels of adjacent land. The latest decision will make way for a development called "Houndstooth." The 35-million-dollar project is currently in the planning phase with developers are looking at ways to incorporate the former bus station into their blueprint. So far, the proposed plan includes a six-floor complex with more than two-hundred apartment units and mixed-use space on the ground level. The design process is scheduled to take around two years.
