Breaking down the over $28.5 million in total revenue, slot machines in Danville brought in nearly $21.4 million, with table games contributing $7.2 million. Statewide, casinos generated $72.3 million in revenue in January, with Danville receiving almost $3.4 million in gaming tax revenue. The Cardinal News reports the city anticipates an additional $35 million to $40 million in revenue after the casino's first year of operation. The Hard Rock Bristol and Rivers Casino Portsmouth also contributed to local tax revenue, with Bristol generating $1.1 million and Portsmouth nearly $3 million in gaming tax revenue in January.
