Members of The Old Guard will place flags at each gravestone on Thursday, but the annual Flags In event is not open to the public. The public is invited to Flowers of Remembrance Day on Sunday, the only time of the year when visitors can place a flower before the Tome of the Unknown Soldier. Fallen servicemembers will be honored during a ceremony Monday at 11 a.m. featuring military musical tributes, remarks from dignitaries and a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. All visitors over the age of 16 will need to produce a REAL ID to enter.
