Court records show Gary Walker, chairman of the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors, pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges for perjury and disclosure violations related to his failure to submit yearly Statement of Economic Interest forms. SoVaNow dot com reports he received a 60-month suspended jail sentence for the misdemeanor charges and agreed to resign from his position on the board within six months. The five charges stemmed from his failure to disclose income-generating properties in his annual statements filed over several years.
