Along with Newport News Councilman John Eley, Iverson helped distribute school supplies to students at Anderson Park, as well as host a basketball tournament and celebrity kickball tournament. WTKR reports nearly a thousand backpacks filled with school supplies were given out during the event. The community day was a collaborative effort between Iverson and Eley to continue giving back to the community.
