(Portsmouth, VA) -- Several cooling centers are open across the Commonwealth as the region deals with record breaking heat. Rocio Rivera has more.Preview: The Hampton Roads region is still under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. tonight, and several cities have opened cooling stations to keep people safe and out of the intese heat. Several public facilities in Portsmouth and Virginia Beach like city halls, libraries, and social services buildings are open during busines hours and will provide water. Pets, minus service animals, will not be allowed to enter the cooling stations. Heat index values are expected to rise to a high of 107 degrees today. But a break is coming, a front is expected tomorrow that will cool the region down to the low to mid 80s. I'm RR.
