TWA Flight 514 crashed into Mount Weather in Loudoun County on December 1st, 1974. The plane was trying to land at Dulles International Airport, and investigators blamed the crash on errors made by the pilot and local air traffic control. A memorial for those killed in the crash was unveiled during a remembrance ceremony in Bluemont yesterday. The monument includes a plaque with the names of the 85 passengers and seven crew members killed in the crash.
