Located at the Westlake Cinema, the project is a joint effort between three groups - the Westlake Cinema, the Smith Mountain Lake Center, and the Willard Family. Smith Mountain Lake Center Board President, Matt Karris, tells WSET his excitement about the plan.Preview: The new Smith Mountain Lake Center will continue to show movies, but will also offer festivals and live entertainment as well as classrooms for higher education learning, and a studio for things like dance and fly fishing. The groups are raising money for the development now and plan to start renovations in 2026.
