>>Families Call for Dangerous Chesapeake Cut-Through to Close
(Chesapeake, VA) -- A road in Chesapeake has claimed the lives of two more victims. Rocio Rivera has more on what the families of those killed are asking.Preview: Families of victims that have died on Route 58 are calling for VDOT to shut it down. There's a cut-through that many tractor trailer drivers pull in to, causing their trailer to stick out into traffic and causing accidents. Two more drivers were killed on Route 58 just this past weekend. And the families of those killed say enough is enough. They're lobbying Chesapeake City Council to shut down the cut-through. The city says they're working to close it, but would need VDOT on board. The road cut potentially be closed by early October, but will remain open until then. I'm RR.
