The Virginia Department of Education is investigating Chesterfield County Public Schools following allegations that the district's school buses are not properly equipped to accommodate students with disabilities. The complaint focuses on claims that buses carrying students with special education needs do not have Individualized Education Programs or 504 plans. Critics say failure to provide this documentation could lead to potentially dangerous situations, as bus drivers may be unaware of students' medical history or specific needs. WRIC reports the investigation findings are expected to be released by March 14th.
