Prosecutors announced charges of child abuse and child cruelty against Brendan Banfield yesterday. Banfield allegedly plotted with an au pair he employed to kill his wife by luring another man into their home through a fetish website. Investigators say Banfield shot Joseph Ryan and then stabbed and killed his wife. The couple's four-year-old daughter was home at the time of the two deaths. Banfield was charged with aggravated murder and using a firearm in a felony in September.
