Virginia State Police are warning drivers that roads can still be dangerous post Helene. While the hurricane didn't directly hit the state, forecasts have called for multiple inches of rain. VSP says they'll have all available troopers working in advance of and for the duration of the storm and will have swift water rescue teams, drones, and aviation resources to help Virginians in need. They advise if you do have to travel during the remnants of the storm to use your headlights when you have windshield wipers on, don't drive through standing water, don't tailgate, and slow down.
