(Stafford County, VA) -- The Stafford County Sheriff's Office released a tongue-in-cheek press release about a recent arrest involving drugs and detergent. Rebecca Hughes with more.

Stafford County deputies say investigators were able to "clean" multiple shoplifting cases off their desks after 30-year-old Toddrick Bowens of Upper Marlboro was caught pushing a cart full of Tide Pods out of an area Lowes without paying for them. As officers spoke to Bowens, his passenger 19 year old Sonia Bonilla Hercules of Falls Church tried to intercede, ignoring officer commands. It was discovered that the pair had stolen 104 Tide products from stores in Frederickburg, Stafford and Spotsylvania. The suspect admitted to stealing the items valued at over $2-thousand dollars with plans to sell them outside a laundromat, like drugs. And speaking of, deputies found him to be in possession of controlled substances. He and his female accomplice are facing charges.
