Many organized and paid pro-Palestinian protestors are calling on colleges and universities in Virginia to support a cease-fire and cut off financial support for Israel. However, economist and former president of Old Dominion University, Dr. James Koch [[cook]], explains to 8News that colleges don’t typically invest in particular companies but instead have managers who are investing a wider portfolio. He says changing portfolios is unlikely to have the desired impact. He adds that lots and lots of investors making these changes won't make much of a difference at all, because for every seller there is a buyer.
