A member of the Blacksburg Town Council will reportedly be tried on election fraud charges this summer. WSLS-TV reports that Liam Watson's trial has been scheduled for July 14th and 15th. The 24-year-old was charged last year for allegedly making false statements on election documents, including a voter registration application and a declaration of candidacy. Watson declined a request to take a leave of absence from the council after the charges were announced.
