The Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is trying to make room in its shelter. The facility is preparing to accept dogs and cats from other shelters impacted by the storm, which they expect will happen next week in order for those operations to make space for displaced pets. SPCA is currently caring for more than 60 animals. In an attempt to reduce capacity, the facility is lowering its adoption fees to 25 dollars for all pets who are six months or older. The offer is available through August 16th.
