Inside Radio dot com reports Form 395-B would have collected race, ethnicity, and gender data for each station’s employees within specified job categories in order to track the diversity of employees. The Fifth Circuit ruled Monday that the FCC lacks the legal authority to gather that information, easing worries that publicity of the details could cause certain employees or stations to become targets of those with differing political opinions.
