The initiative aims to assist individuals who may have difficulty accessing grocery stores or preparing meals. Eligible participants can buy grab-and-go meal options from participating restaurants, including major chains like KFC, Subway, and Taco Bell. EBT meal purchases will be reimbursed within 24 hours, and interested restaurant owners can apply to join the program through VRMP's website. A bill is also under review to assess the program's effectiveness and identify potential barriers, with results expected by December 2025.
